About
A Ministry Rooted in Presence
I became a minister because I believe the moments when life pauses — when we gather to celebrate, to grieve, to welcome, or to release — are the moments that matter most.
My story
How I came to this work
I didn't set out to become a minister. I came to this work the way most people come to the things that matter most — through experience, through loss, through love.
Years ago, I attended a memorial service for someone I cared about deeply. The officiant read from a script that had nothing to do with the person we were there to honor. The words were correct, but they were empty. I remember thinking: this person deserved better than this. We all did.
Not long after, a close friend asked me to officiate her wedding. I said yes without hesitation, and then spent weeks learning everything I could about what it means to hold a ceremony well — to listen, to craft, to stand in front of people at one of the most tender moments of their lives and say something true.
That ceremony changed me. I saw what was possible when a ceremony was built from the inside out — from the real story of the people at the center of it. I became ordained, and I have been doing this work ever since.
My approach
How I work
Every ceremony begins with a conversation. I want to know who you are, what this moment means to you, and what you hope people will carry with them when it is over. I ask a lot of questions. I listen carefully. I take notes.
Then I go away and write. I draft a ceremony that draws from everything you have shared — your words, your stories, your values, the particular texture of this moment in your life. I bring it back to you, and we refine it together until it feels exactly right.
I believe a ceremony should sound like the people at the center of it, not like a minister. My voice is in service of yours. The words I write are meant to feel as though they came from you — because in the ways that matter most, they did.
What I believe
The values behind the work
Presence
I show up fully — unhurried, attentive, and genuinely invested in what this moment means to you.
Craft
Words matter. I take the time to find the right ones — the ones that are true, that land, that you will remember.
Collaboration
This is your ceremony. I am here to help you shape it, not to impose a template on it.
Inclusivity
I work with people of all backgrounds, beliefs, and family structures. Every love story, every life, every loss deserves to be honored.
Credentials
Credentials & availability
I am an ordained minister, legally authorized to perform wedding ceremonies and other rites. I serve couples and families throughout the region and am available to travel for ceremonies that require it.
I work with a small number of families at a time, which means I can give each ceremony the attention it deserves. If you are considering reaching out, I encourage you to do so early — especially for weddings, where dates fill quickly.

A note to you
If you have found your way here, you are probably in the middle of something significant. Maybe it is joyful. Maybe it is hard. Maybe it is both at once. Whatever it is, I am honored that you are considering letting me be part of it. Reach out whenever you are ready. There is no pressure and no rush — just a warm conversation about what you are hoping for.
